Chinese Ten

Two, three or four of you, one link each, and a table of cards that make ten.

How to play

Pick how many of you there will be before you make the table: two, three or four, and how long the match is. The host gets a link for every other seat and sends one each. Nothing is dealt until every seat is taken, or until the host starts with the seats that are.

Your own hand is along the bottom. Every other seat shows as one face-down card and numbers, so you can see how many cards somebody holds and how many they have won, and not which ones. The four cards in the middle are the layout, and the line under it says what the last turns did.

On your turn any card may be played. If it makes ten with a layout card, or matches a five, ten, jack, queen or king there, it takes it. Then the top of the stock is turned and does the same. When a card could take either of two cards worth different points, the table asks which one you want and lights the choices.

A pile is a number until the deal is counted, then the count lists the scoring cards of every pile and your margin against the tie score. Between deals everyone presses next deal. The highest total margin at the end wins, and a tie for first is shared. Chat is always on, and voice only if the host switched it on when they made the table.
