These are the terms for using Connected by Cards. They are meant to be read, so they are short. Using the site means you accept them, and if you do not, please do not use the site.

What this is

A card table you open in a browser. Some games you play on your own, some against the computer, and some with other people who open the link you sent them. That is the whole service.

It is free

There is no charge, no account and no paywall. There is no advertising today either, though you might see an ad now and then later on, and we will try to keep them discreet. We add, change and remove games as the table grows.

The games

The card games here are the old ones, and nobody owns how they are played. What is ours is this implementation of them: the code, the table, the art and the words on these pages. Play all you like. Do not copy the site itself.

Being decent at the table

Use the site kindly. Do not try to break it, overload it or interfere with it, do not use chat or voice to harass whoever you are playing with, and do not use any of it for anything illegal. A table is for people who want a game. Anything you type or say is yours and is your responsibility.

Availability

We try to keep the tables open, but we cannot promise the site is always up or always faultless. A table is cleared 48 hours after it goes quiet, and a game in progress can be lost if something breaks. We may change, pause or stop any part of the site at any time.

No warranty

The site is provided as it is and as it happens to be available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free.

Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Connected by Cards and its maker are not liable for any indirect or incidental loss arising from your use of the site. It is a free card table, offered in good faith.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, the date at the top of this page changes, and carrying on with the site means you accept the current version.
