Madrasso

A four-handed game of Madrasso with people wherever they are.

How to play

This table needs all four seats before the first card is dealt, so the host has three links to send, one each. Partners sit across from each other: the host and the person in the seat opposite are on one side.

You sit at the bottom of the table. The other three hands show as one face-down card and a number, because you can see how many cards they hold but not which ones. The dealer's turned-up card is face up beside the dealer and names the trump.

On your turn, the cards you are allowed to play are the bright ones. Follow the suit that was led if you hold it. A card the rules will not take says why when you press it. If you hold the seven of trumps and the turned-up card is worth having, a button offers the swap before you play on the first trick.

When the tenth trick is in, the table itemises the deal and everybody presses Next deal. The deal moves one seat on. The first side on 777 after at least ten deals wins, and from the eleventh deal a trick that takes a side to 777 wins on the spot. Chat is always on at the table, and voice only if the host switched it on when they made it.
