Spades
A four-handed game of Spades with people wherever they are.
How to play
This table needs all four seats before the first card is dealt, so the host has three links to send, one each. Nobody bids until everybody has arrived.
You sit at the bottom of the table and your partner sits across from you. The other three hands show as one face-down card and a number, because you can see how many cards they hold but not which ones.
When it is your turn to bid, pick how many of the thirteen tricks you expect to take. Zero is a nil. Every bid appears the moment it is made, so you can see what your side has committed to before you play a card.
On your turn, the cards you are allowed to play are the bright ones. Follow the suit that was led if you hold it, and do not lead a spade until spades are broken, which the table tells you. A card the rules will not take says so instead of moving. The trick stays on the table long enough to see who took it.
When the thirteenth trick is in, the hand is added up and the table shows the numbers: what each seat bid and took, what each side scored, and where the match stands. Everybody presses ready and the next hand is dealt with the deal one seat further round. Chat is always on at the table, and voice only if the host switched it on when they made it.
