How to play

Four sit round one table and the two sitting opposite each other are partners. You are at the bottom, a computer partner is across from you, and two computers sit on your left and right. The pack is 34 cards, ace down to seven in each suit and a Big and a Little joker. Eight cards each, and two face down as the kitty.

One round of bids, and you speak first in the first hand. Pass, or bid higher: 5 to 8 tricks for your side, or a solo Mulot (take no trick) or Charlemagne (take all eight), or their Gros versions. If the other three pass and you deal, the table will not let you pass. After a solo bid the bidder's partner sits out and tricks have three cards.

The table dims a card you may not play and says why when you press it: you have to follow suit, and a joker has to go when the rules say so. The jokers and the two jacks of the trump colour count as trump.

One side scores each hand, and the first to 32 points wins the match. New match starts again, and Pause computers holds them still until you resume.
