How to play
Clear all three peaks. Any card with nothing resting on it can go onto the waste pile as long as it is one rank above or below the card already there, and the ranks wrap around, so a king takes an ace and an ace takes a king. Cards turn face up as the cards covering them leave.
Tap a card to play it. When nothing fits, tap the deck for a new card, though that ends your run. Each card in an unbroken run scores five more than the one before it, so it pays to look for the long chain before reaching for the deck. Undo takes back a move, and New deals three fresh peaks.

The chain is the whole game
One card at a time, higher or lower by one. A ten takes a nine or a jack. The ranks run in a ring rather than a line, so a king takes an ace and an ace takes a king, and that is the move people miss for months.
Every card you play in an unbroken run scores five more than the card before it. Ten, then fifteen, then twenty, and up. Touch the stock and it resets to nothing. So you are not clearing cards, you are hunting the longest chain on the board before you reach for a new one.
Read the peaks first. The obvious card now is often worth less than the same card three moves later inside a longer chain, and there are only twenty three cards in the stock behind you.
No coins, no lives, no download
The TriPeaks most people meet is an app with coins, boosters, a daily wheel and a level map, built so you come back on its clock rather than yours. This is the card game underneath it. Nothing is locked, nothing refills on a timer, and there is no currency, so there is nothing to buy and nothing to farm.

How the peaks come apart
The twenty eight cards sit in rows of three, six, nine and ten, and only the bottom row starts face up. Every card you take uncovers what was under it, so the ten cards along the base decide which cards you ever get to see.
Clear that base in a way that opens two peaks at once rather than digging a hole in one of them. The stock is too short to rescue a bad start, which is the difference between this and the other card games on the shelf: Klondike lets you turn the pack over again, and TriPeaks gives you twenty three cards and a shrug.
What the score is actually for
Nothing. There is no leaderboard, no daily challenge and nobody to send it to, so the number along the top is there to be beaten by you tomorrow and by nobody else ever. We think that is the right way round, and it is why there are no coins to win either.
It does make the game readable, though. A hand cleared in short chains scores a few hundred; the same hand taken in two or three long runs scores far more, and that difference is the only feedback TriPeaks gives you on how well you played it. Learn to read it and you stop measuring a hand by whether the peaks fell.
